While the silhouette was never worn by Michael Jordan on the NBA hardwood, the Air Jordan 9 Retro 'Gym Red' features a color scheme that would have fit right in on the floor of Chicago’s United Center. The retro silhouette combines a white leather upper with red patent leather on the heel, collar and mudguard. Contrasting black is used on the molded eyelets and various branding hits.
